girls who code girls

77% of video game developers are men. only 20% of video game characters are women. this imbalance has led to an extreme over-sexualization of female presenting characters across the gaming industry.

girls who code girls is the first coding experience where girls and non-binary individuals can code their own video game characters, telling the industry what we need to see in our games.

users can code skin tones, hairstyles, body, chest, and hip sizes, and even personalities and zodiac signs. in total, there are over 624 BILLION combinations to be made. final characters appear in a gallery and are licensable for video game developers.
